Central Government Health Scheme Office Holiday List 2024
In order to provide health care services to its employees, the Central Government has developed a health system. The facilities at CGHS were not the same for seniors and employees. There are 75 cities where CGHS healthcare facilities are available.
The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) provides beneficiaries with convenient access to services. Festive holidays and restricted vacations have been announced by the Indian government for the CGHS Office. Here is a list of limited holidays as well as the CGHS office holidays.

CGHS Health Centers Timings
CMO (Chief Medical Officer) is the head of the CGHS wellness center and is responsible for all the processes. The working hours of CGHS centers timings are given below.
Working Hours of CGHS Wellness Centers
7.30 A.M. to 2.00 P.M. on all working days (except Sundays and holidays)
Working Hours of CGHS Emergency Services
7.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M. normal OPD
1.30 P.M. to 7. 30 A.M. the next day
On Sundays and holidays, the service continues from 7.30 A.M to 7.30 A.M next day
Documents required to apply CGHS Scheme
- Application in prescribed format
- Proof of residence
- Proof of stay of dependents
- Proof of age of son
- Disability certificate, if any in case of sons aged 25 & above, who
would otherwise cease to be a beneficiary. - Individual passport-size photos of eligible family members
- Surrender Certificate of CGHS Card while in service ( only in those
cases where CGHS Card was issued while in service) - Attested copies of PPO & Last Pay Certificate
- Draft for a required amount towards CGHS contribution – in the
name of „P.A.O., CGHS New Delhi‟ in Delhi and in the name of
„Additional Director, CGHS’ of the city.
Serving employees:-
Serving employees submit the forms in the prescribed format enclosing photos of eligible family members and submit them to the Ministry/ Department/ Office, where he/ she is employed. The application form shall be forwarded by the Ministry/ Office /Department to the office of the Additional Director CGHS of the city for preparation of the card. The plastic cards are distributed through the
Wellness Centres as in the case of pensioners. SMS is sent in case of serving employees also.
