Strongest Man in the World 2023 – Top 10 List, Names, Weight

The World Federation of Strength Athletes, which combined with WSM, was created by them in 1995. Later, a lot of things changed, and WSM was finally recognized after splitting from IFSA. Many channels televised this tournament. Tom Stoltman, a 1994-born man, has recently held the title of Strongest Man in the World. He is a professional strongman competitor from Britain. He twice held the title of the strongest man in the world and once held the title of the sexiest guy in Britain.

It is an international tournament that was established in America in 1977 and has been around for 46 years. International Management Group, an American event management company that Endeavor has controlled since 2013, is in charge of organizing it. IMG’s corporate headquarters are in New York. David Webster, who was awarded the most splendid order of the British Empire for his contributions to sport, created this competition for Langstar Inc. Webster collaborated with Dr. Douglas Edmunds on this project.

1. Eddie Hall

He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 181 kilograms. Eddie, a former powerlifter and professional strongman from the United Kingdom, once held the 500 kg deadlift world record. He was named the World’s Strongest Man in 2017 after becoming the first and only man to deadlift 500 kg.

2. Hafþor Julius Bjornsson

He is also referred to as The Mountain from Game of Thrones and is 6 feet, 9 inches, and 205 kilograms tall. He is an actor, professional strongman, and former NBA basketball player from Iceland. In addition to taking home the title of Europe’s Strongest Man in 2014, 2015, and 2016, Hafór won the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2018.

He measures 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighs a massive 180 kilograms. The World’s Strongest Man competition was won four times by American professional strongman Brian in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. In 2011, 2015, 2016, and 2018, he became the first individual to win the Arnold Strongman Classic four times.

4. Zydrunas Savickas

Zydrunas, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 180 kg, is one of the greatest strongman athletes of all time. In 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014, he captured the title of World’s Strongest Man four times. With five wins, Savickas also has the most victories in the Arnold Strongman Classic. He is also the first competitor to win both the Arnold Strongman Classic and the IFSA Strongman World Championships in the same calendar year.

5. Vytautas Lalas

Vytautas is a 180 kg (6 feet 5 inches) strongman who competes professionally. He took home the title of Europe’s Strongest Man four times, in 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. He competed in the World’s Strongest Man contest as well, finishing second in 2017 and third in 2018.

6. Andy Bolton

Standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 160 kg, Andy is a professional strongman from the United Kingdom. He is the first person to deadlift 1,000 pounds, and in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 he won England’s Strongest Man four times.

7. Laurence Shahlaei

Laurence is a former powerlifter who now works as a professional strongman in England. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and 180 lbs. He won England’s Strongest Man competition four times, in 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015. In 2012 and 2014, he finished second in the World’s Strongest Man competition.

8. Terry Hollands

Terry, a professional strongman from Britain who used to compete in powerlifting, is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 170 kilograms. Six times, in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2012, he was crowned England’s Strongest Man. Also, in 2011, he finished third in the World’s Strongest Man competition.

9. Tom Stoltman

A 6 feet 8 inch, 180 kg professional strongman from Britain who has won the titles of World’s Strongest Man twice and Britain’s Strongest Man once. He was the only British winner of World’s Strongest Man in 2021 and 2022. He holds the record for lifting five concrete balls weighing between 100 and 180 kg in 16.01 seconds under the alias Atlas Stones.

10. Martins Licis

He is one of only four strongmen to have won both the Arnold Strongman Classic and the World’s Strongest Man competitions, standing at 6 feet 3 inches. He won the Rogue Invitational in 2021, the Arnold Strongman Classic in 2022, and the WSM in 2019.
