In 1707–1763, Maharaja Suraj Mal’s rule, the Hindu Jat kingdom achieved the apex of prosperity. It was the formation of Sikhism’s Khalsa Panth, which is known as martial arts. In the 20th century, Jats were a powerful community in numerous regions of North India, including Punjab, Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi.
Jats were very influential in Delhi. Jats started to leave farms in favor of work in the city, and they utilized economic and political power to assert a higher social status for themselves. The complete list of Jaat castes can be found below.
