Central Government Dopt was established on 4th November 1975. There are three Departments of the Ministry, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has also been functioning as a part of the Department of Personnel and Training since August 1986. It also has many organizations under Dopt.
The central government provides leaves in the form of three National holidays, two restricted holidays, and fourteen gazetted holidays. All Saturdays around the year have been declared as holidays, which means that Government employees will have five working days per week.
