Functions of VO authorities
- The VAO is in charge of collecting dues such as land tax and panchayat taxes.
- In order to uphold the peace in the village, the VAO is responsible for reporting any acts of violence, unnatural deaths, caste conflicts, encroachment, natural disasters, etc. to higher officials.
- He is responsible for providing Community, Nativity, and Income certificates for a specific Village in addition to issuing Chitta and Adangal for obtaining loans from Co-Operative Societies and other institutions.
- After checking records and conducting inquiries about the real world, he is in charge of issuing certificates to farmers for various loans.
- If there are any natural disasters, he is in charge of relocating the population and providing food.
- He keeps track of all the farming, irrigation, and other related accounts.
