Its main motive is to coordinate and maintain teaching, examination, and research standards in university education.
University was formed under Section 23 of the UGC Act, to identify various regions of officially unrecognized educational organizations which operate in violation of the UGC Act. Under the UGC Act of 1956, Several institutes have been run unofficially and warning notices were been sent to avoid invalid degrees.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has officially recognized the universities listed below as fraudulent educational institutions. Students are requested to strongly avoid applying to these educational institutions.
