The Government of Maharashtra Public Holiday List 2023

Public holidays are given to celebrate cultural, Nationalistic, and religious festivals. In some Instant, Local holidays are also given to celebrate local festivals.
The state of Maharashtra was formed in 1960. Maharastra Pollution Control Board established various environmental legislations in Maharastra including the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, and the Water (Cess) Act, 1977. The Government of Maharashtra announced Public holidays and Optional holidays for 2023. Generally, Second and Fourth Saturdays and Sundays are holidays given by the Government of Maharashtra.
